Helena Seruca graduated with a Bachelor degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of Porto in (1987–1992) and completed a post-graduate degree in Finance and Taxation at Porto Business School in 2010. 

She is qualified to provide information, advisory and consultancy within the scope of MiFID II (Directive 2014/65/EU), and has received other professional training in taxation, investment, financial instruments and markets, and private banking. She attended the Instituto de Formação Bancária’s Training Programme for Senior Management in 2021.

Having started in the sector in 1991, her professional career has focused on banking and capital markets. She has roughly 25 years’ experience in private banking segment.

Currently, in addition to monitoring a small group of clients, she is Coordinating Director of the Private Banking and Savings and Investment departments of Banco Carregosa, which she joined in 2008, during the transition of L.J. Carregosa - Sociedade Financeira de Corretagem to Banco Carregosa.

Helena Seruca is a founding partner of the company Interelite - Comércio de Produtos Ópticos, Lda. owner of the Óptica da Luz brand, manager of Interessantavulso. Lda, member of the Ordem dos Economistas and the Ordem dos Técnicos Oficiais de Contas.
