How do I install the application?
The Carregosa Authenticator app is available for free download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).
How do I link my Homebanking account to the Carregosa Authenticator app?
1. Access Homebanking through the website.
2. In the side menu, select “Operations” > “Subscriptions” > “Carregosa Authenticator”.
3. With the app already installed on your mobile phone, select the login button.
4. The QR Code reader will open automatically — use it to scan the code displayed in Homebanking.
After scanning, the app will be automatically linked to your account and set as the primary authentication factor.
The Carregosa Authenticator app allows you to:
· Validate your banking transactions directly within the app;
· Consult OTP (One-Time Password) codes for authentication in Homebanking or transaction validation.
I changed my mobile phone. How can I link the new device?
1. Access Homebanking through the web page.
2. In the side menu, select “Operations” > “Subscriptions” > “Carregosa Authenticator”.
3. Click on “Replace”.
4. A new QR Code will be generated — scan it with the new device.
After this process, the previous device is no longer linked to your account.
How can I stop using the application as a second authentication factor?
The Carregosa Authenticator application can be unlinked from your account via Homebanking or within the application itself.
Unlinking via Homebanking:
- Access Homebanking through the web page.
- In the side menu, select “Operations” > “Subscriptions” > “Carregosa Authenticator”.
- Click on "Remove Device".
- You will receive an email with a confirmation link.
- Access the link and choose whether you want to confirm or cancel the disassociation.
After confirming, the application will no longer be associated with your account and the initial authentication configuration will be restored.
Disassociation via the Carregosa Authenticator application:
- Open the application and log in.
- Access Settings.
- Select “User ID”> “Remove association”.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
After confirmation, the association is removed and the initial authentication configuration is restored.
Can I use the app on more than one device at the same time?
No. To ensure your security, the app can only be associated with a single device.
What should I do if I don't receive OTP codes or if the app doesn't generate codes?
If the application does not provide the OTP code or you do not receive it via SMS, you can request it to be sent by email. During authentication or transaction validation, in the window for entering the OTP code, select the following option to receive the code by email: “If you wish to receive the Validation Code at ***@***.com, please click here.”
What to do if your cell phone is lost or stolen?
In case of loss or theft of your mobile phone, you can unlink it through Homebanking:
1. Access Homebanking via the webpage.
2. In the side menu, select “Operations” > “Subscriptions” > “Carregosa Authenticator”.
3. Click on “Cancel” and then on “Confirm Unlinking”.
