Filipe Silva obtained a Bachelor degree in Business Management from the Universidade Lusíada, Porto, in 1998.

In 1999 he completed a post-graduate course in Capital Markets and Portfolio Management at the Faculty of Economics in Porto. Also in 1999, he completed the derivatives operating course at the Porto Derivatives Exchange and the spot market trader course at the Lisbon Stock Exchange. In 2002, he obtained a Master degree in Finance at the Instituto Superior de Estudos Financeiros (IESF).

He has more than 20 years’ experience financial markets, with a focus on brokerages and asset management. 

He is currently the Director of Banco Carregosa’s Investments Department, having joined the then L.J. Carregosa - Sociedade Financeira de Corretagem in 1999.

Between 1995 and 1998 he represented foreign companies in Portugal focusing on childrens and youth clothing.
