What are they?

These types of retail investment products (PRIIPs) have a derivative structure, allowing investors to gain exposure to classes of financial instruments indirectly. As they are structured products with a capital guarantee, investors receive the full amount of the capital initially invested at maturity. However, the return can be variable, as it depends on the performance of the underlying asset(s). The target market for these products includes investors who wish to gain exposure to a given underlying asset while maintaining the ability to recover all of the capital invested. This information is without prejudice to careful reading of the product's constitutive documents, in particular its Key Information Document (KID).
