Investment process
The Fund is managed on a collective basis. If there is a strong difference of opinion among the team, the stock will not be included in the portfolio. The team will do more work until there is agreement to buy or avoid the stock.
1. The management team identifies the main growth trends in the cybersecurity sector.
2. The Fund invests in companies in the main segments of the cybersecurity sector, including endpoint security, network security, perimeter security, data security and application security.
3. A bottom-up investment approach is used that relies on fundamental research to identify cybersecurity companies with attractive earnings growth potential, quality management, strong competitive advantages and a reasonable valuation relative to growth.
4. The team maintains a close relationship with the companies through regular meetings with the management teams.
5. The aim is to invest in companies that possess one or more of the following characteristics:
- Sustained profit growth;
- Sustained profit growth - Market leadership;
- Barriers to entry;
- High quality management;
- Solid balance sheet;
- Reasonable valuation in relation to growth rates and sector peers.

Sustainability
Allianz Cyber Security has been classified as Article 8 under the SFDR, the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, i.e. it is an investment fund whose main objective is not to invest in sustainability, but which promotes environmental or social features and may make sustainable investments.
The Fund adopts the Sustainability with Key Performance Indicators strategy, focusing on greenhouse gas intensity (GHG Intensity - Relative). This approach applies Allianz Global Investors' set of minimum exclusions and promotes environmental characteristics by integrating environmental factors into investment decisions.
